Yeames has an exciting new position available for an aspiring apprentice to join their family-based team as a sales apprentice. Your job will be to help the company sell solar panels and related services. This is an exciting time to enter the industry and a great way to gain valuable knowledge and experience. Throughout the program, the apprentice will gain sales skills, specifically in the exciting industry of Renewable Energy - Solar Power.

Vacancy Description:

Fundamentally this role involves supporting the sales function and team to win orders for solar panels (including related components) and their installation from residential and business customers across Kent. Gradually as the apprentice progresses within the business they will become a fully fledged Sales Executive able to earn commission and gain excellent earning potential.

Sales Support activities include:

  • Researching sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential using a range of tools and websites including HubSpot, LinkedIn and Google
  • Calling potential customers to ask basic questions to qualify opportunities
  • Handling incoming enquiries by email and telephone
  • Inputting, handling and managing data on internal systems
  • Booking meetings for the sales executives
  • General business administrative tasks
  • Performing a range of pre-sales, sales and after sales support activities
  • Developing clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers

Desired skills and Personal qualities:

No prior knowledge of sales is required

The Applicant must:

  • Be competent on the phone and confident enough to make relatively cold calls
  • Have good computer skills with competent English reading and writing capabilities
  • Be money oriented and highly motivated to be successful
  • Have a reasonable level of ability to work independently
  • Be receptive and quick to learn
  • Be flexible – we are a start up and scaling the business so we need the apprentice to be able to adapt in a changing environment
  • Have good people skills
  • Be organised with good time management skills
  • Be ambitious, intelligent, adaptable and outgoing/extravert
  • Be able to interact with staff in a positive manner in an office environment.
  • Be able to represent the company in a professional manner
  • Provide customer service

Working Week:

  • 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • Monday to Friday
  • Travel – negotiable
  • 30-minute lunch break

Salary:

  • £800PM - £960PM Depending on age and experience.

Future Prospects

The right candidate could potentially be offered a permanent position based on their performance over the course of the apprenticeship.

Notes

● Long Periods of time working on the computer. ● They are based on an industrial estate which does not have easy access via public transport. As such having a driving licence and own car is essential. ● No prior knowledge of sales is required ● The Salary will be between £800PM - £960PM depending on age and experience.
