ADULT CARE - LEVEL 2
Adult Care Workers are the frontline staff who help adults with care and support needs to achieve their personal goals and live as independently and safely as possible, enabling them to have control and choice in their lives. Adult Care Workers may work in residential care or nursing homes, domiciliary care, day centres, some clinical healthcare settings or a person's own home as a personal assistant. It is a rewarding and worthwhile career with excellent prospects. This course is for those who wish to develop a career working with people who face physical, practical, social, emotional or intellectual challenges. Candidates will have a passion for supporting and enabling adults with various care needs to live a more independent and fulfilling life.

COURSE DURATION: 12-18 MONTHS

Employer contribution 5% 19+
Employers decide the entry requirement typically: ■ 5 GCSEs (A*- C) including English and Maths ■ Level 2 English and Maths included in the programme if not previously achieved
■ Undertake the Disclosure and Barring Service process
■ The Care certificate
■ Level 2 Diploma in Care (RQF)
The course is delivered at the learner's place of work or in small groups or 1:1 and tailored to the care environment.
Learners will understand the importance of having the right values and behaviours to support individuals to remain safe from harm alongside the 6 'C's, care, compassion, courage, communication, competence, commitment.
