ACCOUNTS & FINANCE ASSISTANT - LEVEL 2
Accounts/Finance Assistants can work in almost any industry and sector from corporate businesses, partnerships, public sector, not-for-profit and educational institutions, or in-house for an accountancy firm or bookkeeping practice. They may assist an accounting with junior accounting duties such as running calculations to ensure that records and payments are correct, recording of cash and data entry. This course is ideal for those who wish to enter Accounting and Managing Accounting and can be stepping stone into specialised departments or financial services.

COURSE DURATION: 12 MONTHS
Fully Funded for 16-18 yrs
Employer contribution 5% 19+
5 GCSEs (A*- C)
Employed in an accounting or financial administration role
Level 2 English and Maths can be included in the programme if not achieved before starting the course
QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
There are four qualifications options:
■ AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting (Level 2)
■ ACCA Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting (Level 2)
■ IAB Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping
■ ICB Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping
Training is delivered on-site and tailored to individuals place of business.
Our experienced tutors work with learners 1:1 or in small groups.
Learners will gain a fundamental understanding of their organisation, accounting systems and processes.
They will acquire the skills to perform management and final accounting concepts, general business operations along with law, ethics and code of conduct applicable to the sector.
On completion, the apprentice will be able to apply for professional body membership aligned to the qualification chosen. Relevant professional associations are:
■ IAB – Associate level membership
■ ICB – Associate level membership
