Aspire to Learn, together with Eton Manor Rugby Club, hosted an Apprentice & Training Fair, creating opportunities for school leavers within the local community. This was one of the first social and business partnered events of its kind in the borough and was supported by the Mayor of Redbridge.
With the help of local, national and global businesses, aspiring apprentices were introduced to a debt-free alternative to university and were able to discuss their career ambitions with future employers as well the numerous vacancies on offer.
Apprenticeships are becoming more popular, allowing people to “earn whilst they learn”, gain qualifications from Entry Level to a Masters Degree and guarantee long-term career prospects developed through lifelong learning.
As part of National Apprenticeship Week 2020, businesses and educational institutions throughout the UK hosted events, highlighting some of the 500 apprenticeship standards approved for delivery, covering a range of sectors.
