Traineeships

Traineeship Programmes are a government initiated program to support 16-23 year olds into work. They prepare young people for their future careers by helping them to become ‘work ready’, providing essential work preparation training, Maths, English and vital work experience needed to get an apprenticeship or other jobs:

A Traineeship will put you in a better position to compete for an apprenticeship or alternate jobs:

  • Traineeships give you the opportunity to build your CV and get vital experience with local and national employers
  • Improving your English and Maths skills will boost your chances of getting a job, as well as improving your long term prospects and earning potential over your lifetime
  • Work preparation training ensures young people have the skills and confidence needed for an Apprenticeship or other jobs
  • Meaningful work experience provides insight and experience of the world of work, making them more attractive to potential Employers
